Paid Internships — Event Operations (2025)

The ideal STARK Event Operations Intern is a current undergraduate student or recent graduate passionate about a career in sports and event technology. Strong troubleshooting skills — including problem identification, resolution, and clear customer communication — are key. We’re seeking candidates who are eager to learn, have a strong sense of ownership, and are willing to travel.

Event Operations Manager
The Event Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the execution of STARK solutions for client events and operations on a global scale. This role involves leading the successful deployment of STARK’s hardware and software solutions at customer locations, working closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Successfully deploy STARK solutions (hardware and software) at customer locations worldwide, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and equipment requirements for installations and other on-site deliverables in coordination with the STARK Operations Team and clients.
- Work collaboratively with customers and partners to ensure successful execution and alignment with project objectives.
- Create and manage technology deployment matrices and resource planning for each event or project.
- Provide comprehensive support and training on STARK’s innovative products and services to clients and team members.
- Adhere to existing processes and create new processes when necessary to maximize efficiency, whether working onsite or remotely.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience in customer implementations of technology-based solutions, with an emphasis on real-time location systems, networking, and IoT technologies.
- Strong client management and customer service skills, with the ability to foster long-term relationships.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, including the ability to identify and resolve issues while maintaining effective communication with clients.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as well as Smartsheet and Google Apps.
- Ability to travel globally and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for extended periods as needed.
- A technical background with relevant certifications is a plus.
- Experience in the sports and entertainment industry is preferred but not required.

Senior Full Stack Software Engineer
Who we need

The right candidate will be able to effectively work in, as well as lead, small teams to achieve shared goals. Strong analytical, problem solving, refactoring, and debugging skills are required. This position will offer the right person the opportunity to deepen their knowledge about numerous technologies and architectures in a progressive and inventive environment.Responsibilities
Reporting to our Director of Software, a successful candidate will showcase their Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, plus at least 7 years of professional software development experience, and be responsible for:- Writing clean, concise code
- Participating in new application development
- Evolving the technology stack by experimenting with new technologies and suggesting new ideas
- Developing a deep understanding of a product’s features and implementation
- Supporting and improving existing products by evaluating suggested improvements and features to ensure they are in line with product goals
- Understanding how multiple products are related and how changes to one affect others
- Communicating with project managers to understand upcoming events and ensure solutions satisfy client expectations
- Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers
